Xmet should be taken with food to reduce stomach and bowel side effects, which may experience the first few weeks of treatment. Also, exercise regularly and test for sugar in your blood or urine as directed.

The long-term use can lead to the deficiency of Vitamin B12, which can further lead to megaloblastic anemia. Furthermore, Long-term Metformin use can also lead to kidney and liver problems.
