It is used for the treatment of depression (major depressive disorder) and anxiety (generalized anxiety disorder). It is also used in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.
For treatment of anxiety Stalopam is usually given upto 8 weeks and for the treatment of depression, the duration of treatment may vary depending upon the severity of depression.
