Lupident Information

Lupident is a prescription drug, available for use as Gel, Mouthwash, Powder. Allergy, Asthma, Cancer: causes, symptoms, treatment, medicines, prevention and medicines are some of its major therapeutic uses. Other than this, Lupident has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

Why Lupident is given along with vitamin B 12?

This is because a long-term use of Lupident can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking Lupident for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.
