No, Amdepin does not cause diabetes. It has not been reported to cause diabetes. However, Amdepin might increase your blood sugar levels slightly, healthy people can tolerate it easily while diabetic patients might face some spike in blood sugar levels. So, if you have diabetes keep a check on your blood sugar levels and in case of a sudden spike inform your doctor and take medicines accordingly.

Yes, you can take it with seafood safely if you are not allergic to seafood. However, there is a lot of scientific evidence that Amdepin has shown very strong interaction with grapefruit juice hence you are highly recommended to avoid grapefruit juice with this drug.

No, Amdepin should not be discontinued on your own. Discontinuation of a drug on your own can cause some serious problem such as blood pressure or chest pain which lead to heart attack and stroke. So before stopping this medicine, you must consult your doctor, he/she may switch your treatment if you can not tolerate this drug.

Does Amdepin cause edema?

Yes, Amdepin can cause edema. It is the most common side effects of this drug. Usually swelling occurs in feet and ankle. If these effects cause troublesome, then consult your doctor regarding whether this effect arises due to amlodipine consumption or not. If yes, then you can stop taking this medicine with the help of doctor because of alternate treatment are also available. However, it is dose-related effects if taken a low dose, chances of edema are very less if consuming high dose the chances of edema are high.
