Rabter is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Capsule. Other than this, Rabter has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.
The optimal dosage of Rabter is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.
Rabter also has some side effects, the most common being Dry Mouth, Diarrhoea. While these are the most often observed Rabter side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Normally, these side effects of Rabter are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.
It is also important to note that Rabter has a Safe effect for pregnant women and Moderate effect on lactating mothers. In addition, Rabter's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Rabter related warnings section.
Rabter is not recommended if you suffer from certain medical conditions as it can have adverse effects. Liver Disease, Diarrhea (Loose Motions) are examples of such conditions. The section on Rabter contraindications lists all such conditions.

Interaction between Alcohol and Rabter
Taking Rabter with alcohol can have severely harmful effects on your health.
No, Rabter does not cause high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). It has not been reported by the patients who are taking it. You are advised to monitor your blood sugar level on daily basis. If you notice high blood sugar levels after taking this drug, then discuss it with your doctor who might change the dosage of your current medications.
Rabter is a prescription drug, hence do not take it without consulting doctor. It can be harmful for patients to take this medicine without a doctor's advice.
Rabter is a brand name for domperidone. It is a prescription drug which belongs to the class of medication known as antiemetics (dopamine D2-receptor antagonist). It is mainly used for the treatment of nausea, vomiting, bloating and stomach fullness. It is also used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by certain medication used to treat Parkinson's disease.
Rabter contains domperidone (dopamine D2-receptor antagonist). It works by inhibiting the neurotransmitter dopamine (a chemical messenger present in our body) from acting on the vomiting center present in the brain thus preventing nausea and vomiting which provides relief to the patient from nausea and vomiting.
Ideally, Rabter should be taken by mouth once daily but it can be taken twice in some cases depending on the severity of symptoms or as advised by your doctor. It should be taken before 30 minutes of eating food to prevent acidity and heartburn. Precautions must be taken in patients with hypersensitivity and improper liver function.
